Wider Use Of Pfizer’s HIV Drug Recommended | Latest Newspaper Headlines | Current Events

"Despite concern from several panel members, a U. S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) advisory panel is recommending wider use of Pfizer Inc.'s HIV drug Selzentry in certain patients who have the disease.

Pfizer is seeking U. S. approval for marketing Selzentry to be taken with other anti-retroviral drugs for HIV patients with a specific type of HIV-1, one of the two strains of human immunodeficiency virus responsible for causing AIDS, and who have not tried any medications, so far."
